Liberty Park Trail

Built in 1882, Liberty Park is a favorite open space retreat within Salt Lake City. Each year thousands enjoy the parks numerous activities and accommodations.

Ringing the park is a 1.5 mile paved multi-use trail, and a parallel wood chip jogging path. Bicyclists are encouraged to use the trail and enjoy the many amenities the park has to offer.

To better connect the park to the surrounding neighborhoods, the Transportation Division installed a new bicycle/pedestrian crossing signal at the south end of the park in 2012. The signal improves the safety and convenience of crossing 1300 South at 600 East.
